From June 23 to June 27, Lord of Life Lutheran Church was transformed into a vibrant wilderness adventure for this year’s Vacation Bible School, themed "True North"—a powerful journey through God’s Word, guiding kids to Jesus as their one true compass in life.
With energetic worship, hands-on crafts, engaging Bible stories, outdoor games (even in an intense heat wave!), and delicious snacks, VBS 2025 was an unforgettable week filled with laughter, learning, and life-changing truth. Based on the True North theme by Group VBS, kids explored how to follow Jesus in every season of life, learning that He is faithful, trustworthy, and always near.
The Heartbeat of VBS: Our Volunteers
Vacation Bible School is one of the most joyful—and volunteer-intensive—events of the year, and this summer was no exception. From transforming our church into a Northern wilderness (including an 8-foot waterfall, beaver den and moose!), to prepping activities, leading songs with contagious energy, running story time, guiding crafts, and braving the heat to lead outdoor games, our volunteers went above and beyond.
Let’s not forget the behind-the-scenes heroes who organized supplies, prepped snacks, and grilled up hot dogs for our closing picnic—your dedication made every moment possible.
To every single volunteer and donor: THANK YOU. Your servant hearts, creativity, and generosity brought the Gospel to life for dozens of children. VBS couldn’t happen without you—and it certainly wouldn’t be the joyful, impactful week that it was.
Until Next Summer…
Though the decorations have come down and the last snack has been shared, the seeds planted during VBS continue to grow. We’re already excited for next year, but in the meantime, we celebrate the eternal impact made in the hearts of every child who attended.
Thank you again for being part of this ministry. You helped point kids to their True North—Jesus.
