Together We Serve: Kids Against Hunger at Lord of Life

On Saturday, October 25th, our church family came together in partnership with Kids Against Hunger for an incredible morning of service, compassion, and community! A team of over 50 dedicated volunteers helped to fight hunger and bring hope to families in need.
Together, we packaged over 10,239 meals — each meal providing nourishment for a family of four. That means more than 40,000 servings of food going to children and families both around the world and right here in our local community.
The event was fun, impactful, and full of heart. Volunteers of all ages worked side-by-side, proving that when we serve together, we can make a powerful difference. No special skills were needed — just willing hands and open hearts!
This event also reminded us of the ongoing need:
821 million people worldwide face hunger (1 in 9).
Every 10 seconds, a child dies from hunger-related causes.
Right here in the U.S., 16.2 million children live in food-insecure households.
Every meal packed, every smile shared, and every moment spent serving brought hope to someone’s table. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and prayed for this mission. Your generosity and teamwork are truly changing lives!
