Rally Day & Day of Service: Supporting The Connection Youth Services
On September 13, Lord of Life celebrated Rally Day and put faith into action through a special Day of Service benefiting The Connection Youth Services who support runaway and homeless teens in the Livingston County area.

During worship, we blessed our faith formation leaders, Gloria McCracken, Craig Johnson (assistant Jacob LeFeve), and Linda LaPlatt, as they began another year of leading Adult Bible Study, Young Adult Study, and Sunday School.
We also shared a Back-to-School Blessing for students and others involved in education.
After worship, volunteers gathered for a potluck and a service project to assemble care packages to support local youth who rely on The Connection for basic necessities and support.
Our hospitality potluck was delicious! Thank you to everyone who contributed food and helped make it such a wonderful time of fellowship. Your generosity was much appreciated by members and visitors alike!
Together, we assembled more than 200 snack and personal care packages, that included deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, tooth brushes, chap stick and several nutritional snacks including granola bars, nuts, seeds, fruit and other snacks.
Volunteers also wrote personal notes of encouragement and donated toilet paper and other hygiene products.
Everything was delivered to The Connection Youth Services for use by youth in our community who visit during drop-in hours, participate in groups, or are staying in shelters.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support The Connection Youth Services’ work and help provide young people with items they need.
The event was a true congregation-wide effort! Thank you to everyone who helped plan, donate, contribute, assemble packages, cleanup, or deliver the donations. Your generosity and willingness to serve helped make this a meaningful day of service and faith in action.
