Activities include scavenger hunts, laser tag, slime night, and bowling! Weekend retreats to Mt. Cross camp are also scheduled through out the year for various age groups. We always encourage our kids to bring friends and enjoy some fun and fellowship together. Come join us!

Confirmation© 2011 Lord of Life Lutheran
Confirmation is the cornerstone of our youth’s education. Confirmation classes meet every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 (dinner from 6:30-7:00, instruction from 7:00-8:00). This is an opportunity to truly focus on the message and its application in life for our youth building a strong foundation on which to grow their Christian life.

Prayer Chain
This group of members is dedicated to helping others in prayer. As needs are brought to our attention, each member is given the confidential information so that they may pray for those in times of turmoil, illness, life’s issues, as well as in praise and joy. It is a wonderful way to touch the lives of others in God’s name

Drama
Throughout the year the members of Lord of Life (all ages) present God’s message through skits and plays in order to enrich the life and learning of those present. Join us as we present God’s message through performance.

Choir
The Lord of Life choir is small but mighty. With joy and music this ministry touches the hearts and souls of those blessed to hear them. This group meets weekly on Thursday evenings for fellowship and rehearsal to hone the music they will present.

Bell/Chime Choir
This unusual music ministry allows those with little musical background all the way to those with extensive background to share uplifting and fun music to the congregation. No experience is necessary, just come with a song in your heart and a willingness to ring the chimes. Bell Choir meets in the weeks prior to performances usually before church begins on Sunday mornings.

Thursday Morning Bible Study
Mark your calendar for the mornings of the first and third Thursdays to meet to study the Bible. This member led Bible study helps you to build church relationships while studying the word of God.

Supper Club
This fellowship group meets monthly at a chosen area restaurant. It is a fun to way get out, try new foods, and fellowship with your church family and friends.

Parades and Floats
Lord of Life has a long tradition of participation in the Clovis parades. We have our own float that we decorate and ride in the Clovis Children’s Christmas Light Parade, as well as the Clovis Rodeo Parade. This is a fun fellowship activity for all in our church.

Bulldog Food Pantry Collection
Along with the weekly collections for food donated to the Bulldog Pantry run by Lutheran Campus Ministry at CSUF, we also will have special gatherings and collections to help those who are having trouble purchasing groceries for their families.

Spirit of Woman
This excellent outreach is one we support in different ways throughout the year. Sprit of Women is an organization that assists women breaking addictions and dependencies through education, training, and support. This program assists women as well as women with children. The highlight of assistance is at Christmas when members of the congregation can choose one of the Spirit of Women names and get her and her children a Christmas gift. For many, this is their only gift of the year. .

Blessing of the Backpacks
Each year, as students pack their backpacks to begin the school year, Lord of Life students (and teachers) bring theirs to school to be blessed. At the same time we gather backpacks and school supplies to donate for those who may go to school with nothing. These backpacks are also part of the blessing, sending God’s love out to those in need.

Worship Ministries
These are the ministries that help keep any church functioning smoothly on a Sunday morning. It is a chance to step up and show your love of Christ by participating and assisting others. These ministries include: acolytes, ushers, readers, prayer partners, greeters, and coffee host/hostess.

Christian Education
Each Sunday we have Sunday school for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest. All are welcome to participate as a student or teacher.

Communion for Shut-ins
Monthly communion is offered via lay members to those who are unable to get to church. This ministry allows shut-ins to feel a part of God’s family, while receiving communion.
